It was a must win game for RCB as they took on the table toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad at their home ground. Batting first, RCB posed a really big total at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

The team lost Parthiv Patel and Captain Virat Kohli early. Kohli, after hitting a boundary against Rashid Khan tried to be too adventurous as one went straight through to knock off his bails.

It was then the partnership of AB de Villiers (69) and Moeen Ali (65) that did the trick for RCB. Moeen was promoted up the order and came down to bat at No 4 in this match.

AB de Villiers too looked in great nick tonight as the two built up a 107-run partnership. The late heroics of CDG and Sarfaraz Khan took RCB to 218.

On the back of champion knocks from Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson, SRH reached very close but fell 14 short of the target.

As it turned out, ABD’s partnership with Moeen was the actual game changer. Here is what twitterati had to say about RCB’s win and ABD’s Super man catch:

Un…..frikkin….believable….AB, you’re from another planet. Or may be, from a different stratosphere #RCBvSRH #IPL
