AJ Brown nearly caused a riot on the streets of Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon when he decided to change his profile picture to that of Tom Brady in New England Patriots fit. But luckily, he had done so out of motivation and respect for the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback rather than because he wanted a change of scenario.

AJ Brown used his time off to catch up on the episodes of The Dynasty, a documentary which covers the New England Patriots’ journey through the years with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Turns out, despite rumors of Brown wanting out, the Patriots have made attempts to bring A.J. Brown on board. Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer revealed that the team had inquired regarding his availability but the Eagles shut them down quick.

Tom Brady's SUPER BOWL rings!!! #tombrady #nfl #superbowl #ytshorts
Philadelphia has gotten inquiries on A.J. Brown, They have shut them all down and told other teams that he is not available.
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated said

In retrospect, the team missed out on a chance to draft Brown in 2019 but instead opted to take their chances on N’Keal Harry with the last pick in the first round. Brown was taken by the Titans and was traded to Philly in 2022.

AJ Brown wanted to be drafted by the New England Patriots

AJ Brown has been open about his admiration for Tom Brady. Even in a post, which he deleted soon after, he was full of praises for the Patriots legend.

TB12 is my favorite player ever. I watch(ed) the dynasty and it brought back some memories from my childhood. Go look up what he did in 2015 when he was doubed/disrespected. Yeah, I see the disrespect. Motivated..yes. That's it. I did not think changing my pfp to the greatest QB ever would cause controversy.
AJ Brown wrote

Brown was being honest. Brady and the Patriots did inspire a generation of football players and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. In 2015, Tom Brady was in the spotlight for negative reasons. The infamous deflategate scandal had come back to bite him. The matter went to the Federal Court and his reputation took a big hit. To make matters worse, his coach Bill Belichick did not have his back either and this infuriated him.

Following the NFL’s four-game suspension of Brady as punishment for his involvement in the scandal, once the quarterback was back, he was back with a vengeance. He went on to lead the Patriots to the Super Bowl and won a ring that year shutting his haters down.

#Eagles star WR A.J. Brown admitted he "Cried his eyes out" in a closest after the #Patriots passed on drafting in 2019 when they took WR N’Keal Harry instead.

A big mistake by Bill Belichick there..

In the past, Brown has spoken about how hurt he was when the Patriots passed over him in the draft for N’Keal Harry.

I left everybody at the house and went home. I went in the closet and cried my eyes out.
AJ Brown told Barstool

Brown has a sense of rejuvenated energy after the Eagles added Saquon Barkley, this season, the team has the best shot to go back to the Super Bowl again. It will be exciting to see how he fares.
