Darwin Nunez has spent 18 months at the Merseyside club. In 72 appearances for the Reds, he has scored 23 goals and has assisted 14 times. During his first season, he managed only 15 goals in all competitions, which was below par for the price he was purchased for. He had only 9 goals in almost 1700 minutes in the league.

In the 23/24 season, his goal-scoring woes continued. With 19 appearances, he has scored only 5 goals, but has assisted six times. In between he had an eight-match goalless run in the Premier League before finally scoring against Burnley. He has played 48 games for Liverpool but has had 38 big chances missed
